GlenOak (Canton, Ohio) junior running back
Brionte Dunn has verbally committed to Ohio State, according to multiple media outlets including ScoutingOhio.com and the Canton Repository.
Dunn, who is 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, is one of Ohio's top players in the 2012 class. He was just offered by Ohio State earlier this month, according to reports.
"Brionte Dunn is a big bruising back that possesses amazing speed for a player of his size," said Mark Porter, director of ScoutingOhio.com. "(He) has the ability to make one cut and get downhill against a defense very fast."
Dunn has rushed for 1,261 yards and 14 touchdowns in five games this season, according to the Canton Repository.
Dunn is another running back for the Buckeyes' 2012 class. He joins
St. Francis de Sales (Columbus, Ohio) junior
Warren Ball, who verbally committed earlier this fall.
"…So adding Dunn is a sign that OSU will never pass on a great football player in the state of Ohio, they will just make room for him," Porter said.
GlenOak coach Scott Garcia told the Repository it speaks volumes to how much Ohio State wanted Dunn.
"It's going to be a great opportunity for him," Garcia told the publication.
Dunn also had offers from Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, according to ScoutingOhio.com.
