Hillcrest had won four straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-1 to make it five. They pulled ahead with a 92-91 photo finish over the Bolton Wildcats. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Bolton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (73), they still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Bolton still got an impressive performance from Rahsad MacLin, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 40 points and 14 boards. The game was MacLin's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Anthony Suggs was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight rebounds.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hillcrest will head out to take on Sheffield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Vikings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bolton, they will head out on the road to square off against Haywood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Tomcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
