The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Peniel Baptist Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Peniel Baptist Academy will be up against a hot Trinity Christian Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Trinity Christian Academy put the hurt on Seabreeze with a sharp 14-4 victory on Monday.
Jenessa Pomales was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Charleigh Morasse and Melany Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Morasse scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. The dominant performance gave Martinez a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Nataly Martinez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Trinity Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Peniel Baptist Academy made easy work of Countryside Christian on Monday and carried off a 17-4 win.
Like Trinity Christian Academy, Peniel Baptist Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Alexis Peacock. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Peacock was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, McKenzie Zurn was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Allison Peacock was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-5.
Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, their record now sits at 5-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trinity Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Peniel Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
