The Seaside Seagulls came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Scappoose for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-22 victory at home. Given Seaside's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Indians are ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Seaside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Scappoose, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Tillamook the next time they take the court. Seaside will head out to face the Cheesemakers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
