After flying high against Dupree on Saturday, the St. Francis Indian Warriors came back down to earth. St. Francis has to be aching after a bruising 85-57 defeat to the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves on Tuesday. If the Warriors were hoping to take revenge for the 75-39 loss against Eagle Butte when the teams met last February, then they were left disappointed.
St. Francis' loss pushed them down to 10-13. The win makes it two in a row for Eagle Butte and bumps their record up to 13-7.
St. Francis will square off against Crow Creek Friday. St. Francis fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game as the odds are decidedly against them. The Braves are staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Pine Ridge.
