Lovelady hadn't done well against Leon recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Lions blew past the Cougars 16-1. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Lovelady has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Leon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Coming up, Lovelady will face off against Grapeland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leon, they will venture away from home to square off against Oakwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
