The Gans Grizzlies''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 30-14 to Arkoma. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gans in their matchups with Arkoma: they've now lost four in a row.
Arkoma's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carl Brake, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Brake's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Lanham, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Gans' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Arkoma, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-6.
Gans will head out on the road to face off against Foyil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Foyil is ranked 76th, while Gans is ranked 81st). As for Arkoma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Keota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
