Wilson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dawson Dragons. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Dawson, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Wilson and Dawson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Wilson (ranked 1403rd) will meet Guthrie (ranked 541st) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dawson will square off against Borden County at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025 down 1,115 places (1306 vs. 191).
