Ravenswood is 1-7 against St. Marys since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ravenswood Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Marys Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Ravenswood: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home dating back to last season, while St. Marys has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
Last Friday, Ravenswood lost to South Harrison on the road by a decisive 26-12 margin.
Meanwhile, St. Marys stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tyler 46-12 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.
It was another big night for Ashton Boron, who rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 62 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Kent, who rushed for 96 yards on only 12 carries.
South Harrison's win bumped their season record to 4-5 while Ravenswood's defeat dropped theirs to 1-8.
Ravenswood took a serious blow against St. Marys in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 56-13. Thankfully for Ravenswood, Joey Ramsey (who picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
