Franklin County is 0-3 against Chipley since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Franklin County Seahawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chipley Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Franklin County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over Port St. Joe.
Ethan Kembro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamichael Miller, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Walton scored an imposing 62 points on Monday, Chipley still came out on top. Chipley took their matchup against Walton 73-62. The victory was all the more spectacular given Chipley's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Walton is ranked 93rd).
Franklin County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Chipley, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
