Agua Fria's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Estrella Foothills by a score of 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Agua Fria has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Bryan Burrows, who scored 14 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Daniels jr, who scored 14 points.
Goldwater suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Cactus at home and fell 80-52. Goldwater has not had much luck with Cactus recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Agua Fria has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Goldwater, they bumped their record down to 6-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Agua Fria didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Goldwater when the teams last played last Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 75-69 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Goldwater's Demarion Trask, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
