After flying high against Chaparral  last Friday, Pinnacle came back down to earth. The Pinnacle Pioneers fell just short of the Liberty Lions by a score of  32-29 on Friday. The Pioneers have struggled against the Lions recently, as their game  on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the loss, Pinnacle still got an impressive performance from   Wyatt Horton, who threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Jace Pina was  Horton's top target, picking up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
  Hayden Fletcher continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Liberty, throwing for 335 yards and three touchdowns.  Braxton Huynh was  Fletcher's top target, picking up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Liberty,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinnacle will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on O'Connor at 7:00  p.m.  on October 25th. As for Liberty, they will face off against Salpointe Catholic at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Salpointe Catholic will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight.
