Rosman got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Mitchell Mountaineers on Tuesday. In other batting news, Jolie Reid and Savannah Green did most of the damage at the plate: Reid scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Green scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Green a new career-high. Blaikley Zuccala was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Mitchell, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.
Looking ahead, Rosman is taking a road trip to face off against Mitchell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mitchell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Patton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mitchell has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
