Baseball Recap: Tara Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Tara's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Broadmoor Buccaneers. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Don Rochon was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrick Patin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tara has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. Broadmoor is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tara will face off against White Castle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. White Castle has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.43 runs per game on average), something Tara will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Broadmoor, they will host St. Michael at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
