After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Amador Valley, the Granada Matadors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 35-25 win over Livermore. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Granada's zero-point performance the contest before.
Granada's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton Richards led the charge by picking up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Quinn Boyd also helped out by tossing the rock for 321 yards.
Granada's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Livermore, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Granada will be playing at home against Rancho Cotate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Rancho Cotate is ranked 246th, while Granada is ranked 239th). Livermore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
