Elmwood-Murdock put the hurt on Syracuse with a sharp 51-31 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Brooklyn Mans and Brooke Goudie were among the main playmakers for Elmwood-Murdock as the former went 7 of 15 on her way to 19 points along with five assists and three steals and the latter posted 13 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Mans' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hohman, who put up seven points.
Elmwood-Murdock smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder came into Thursday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 56-18 victory over Tekamah-Herman. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Elmwood-Murdock better focus on containing Jayde Kreifels and Keegan Francis as the pair were huge in Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's win. Kreifels almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, while Francis went 6 of 12 on her way to 15 points and eight steals. With that strong performance, Francis is now averaging an impressive 2.6 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Stockamp, who posted six points and four steals.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Elmwood-Murdock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Elmwood-Murdock has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 21.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Logan View/Scribner-Snyder struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
