Baseball Recap: Johnsonville Wins Going Away Against Hemingway

While Johnsonville put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Hemingway. The Flashes blew past the Tigers 16-0. Considering the Flashes have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnsonville got a massive performance out of Zaghe Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Dennis, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Davis wasn't the only one making solid contact: Johnsonville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.

Johnsonville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Hemingway, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Johnsonville and Hemingway will both be playing Hannah-Pamplico the next time they take the field. The Flashes will host the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
