This season hasn't been kind to the Evans Trojans, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were dealt a 52-11 defeat at the hands of Lake Howell on Tuesday. Evans lost against Lake Howell in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-52 score last time.
Sylvia Rushing was Evans' leading scorer, having posted five points.
Zaria Nelson held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
The last time Evans won on the road was back last Saturday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 0-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for Lake Howell, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evans will take on Foundation Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foundation Academy's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Evans' offense will have their work cut out for Evans. As for Lake Howell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
