Basketball Game Preview: Atkins Camels vs. Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans + How To Watch

Two dominant guards in Abram Talbert and Jayden Pringle are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Atkins Camels will square off against the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Atkins has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Triad Baptist Christian Academy will arrive with five straight victories.

On Thursday, Atkins came up short against Forbush and fell 61-51.

Atkins' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brandon Yeboah, who went 7-for-15 en route to 15 points in addition to six boards and six steals, and Caiden Allen, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 16 points and five steals. Yeboah is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Luke Rowe also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

Meanwhile, Triad Baptist Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Surry HomeSchool on Tuesday as they won 72-58.

Triad Baptist Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Pringle, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 27 points and seven assists. Kayden Weyant also set a new season-high mark in rebounds with ten. Cohen Locklear was another key player, putting up nine points.

Atkins' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Atkins has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Triad Baptist Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Atkins came up short against Triad Baptist Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 73-68. Can the Camels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
