The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Capital in their matchups with George Washington: they've now lost four in a row.
Anthony Valentine was on fire for George Washington: he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 77 receiving yards. Valentine's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Abe Fenwick was another key contributor, throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Capital has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for George Washington, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-4.
