 Hoover didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Yussuf Masudi,  Giovanny De La Mora,  and  Cooper Woodhall picked up one apiece.  Noah Contreras was another major factor on D,  picking up  two  sacks and making 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Canyon Hills has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record  this season. As for Hoover, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season.
 Canyon Hills lost to Hoover at home  by a decisive  57-43 margin  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Autry, who rushed for 322 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per carry.
