Softball Recap: Albuquerque Academy Has No Trouble Against Valley

Albuquerque Academy barely beat Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers blew past the Vikings 27-11 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Albuquerque Academy got a massive performance out of Lillyann La Fata, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave La Fata a new career-high. Samantha Walker also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Albuquerque Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .717. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Albuquerque Academy now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
