This season hasn't been kind to the Central Bears, who are still winless after their 16th match. They were beaten by Weeki Wachee 66-13 on Saturday. Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Delanee Duncan, who scored six points.
Central dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road. As for Weeki Wachee, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Central and Citrus will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Citrus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Thursday. As for Weeki Wachee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crystal River at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crystal River has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
