Basketball Game Preview: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg

Mulberry Grove and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Mulberry Grove Aces will challenge Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mulberry Grove has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 176 points over their last three matchups.

Last Tuesday, Mulberry Grove strolled past Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. The Aces pushed the score to 46-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Jackson Icenogle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 14 en route to 22 points and eight rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Sugg, who posted eight points along with 12 boards and four blocks.

Mulberry Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg posted their closest victory since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Pana out 48-45.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-11. As for Mulberry Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.

Mulberry Grove came up short against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 47-38. Can Mulberry Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
