The West Washington Senators will face off against the Clarksville Generals at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. West Washington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game  this season.
West Washington took a loss when they played away from home  on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Springs Valley  a   10-0 shutout. The Senators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Hayden Morrow made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Morrow was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Alex Williams, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Nevin Marrs, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 West Washington was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springs Valley only posted a  batting average of  .235.
Meanwhile, Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They came up short against  Austin, falling  12-2.
 Clarksville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jaxson Brooks, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.  Talon Moore was another,  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for West Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Clarksville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  West Washington hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .338. It's a different story for Clarksville, though, as  they've  only  averaged .204. Will they be able to contain West Washington's hitters?
 West Washington took their  win against Clarksville  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  14-2 score. Will the Senators repeat their success,  or do  the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
