Baseball Recap: Hartford Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hartford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Bangor Vikings. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Hartford's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Bangor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartford will host Marcellus at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season. As for Bangor, they will welcome Gobles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
