Trinity had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt North Oldham on Friday. The Shamrocks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Trinity pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Oldham, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.

When Trinity and North Oldham next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Shamrocks will try to stop Providence's three-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Trinity 1.8, the Pioneers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Oldham will take on St. Xavier and their 11-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
