Penn-Trafford fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Armstrong on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the River Hawks by a score of 6-5. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nico Casciato was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Stone, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Penn-Trafford's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Armstrong, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Penn-Trafford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
