There's no place like home for the Moore County Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 43-33 victory over Cascade on Friday. The team accrued 34 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Cascade's loss came despite strong showings from Sophie Ray and Kaegan Young. Ray scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds, while Young scored 13 points. Young scored a full 39.4% of Cascade's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Moore County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moore County will take on Culleoka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cascade, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Brentwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
