Bella Vista is 0-4 against Woodcreek since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bella Vista Broncos will be playing at home against the Woodcreek Timberwolves at 7:15 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bella Vista has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Woodcreek will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Friday, Bella Vista came up short against Yuba City and fell 30-22.
The losing side was boosted by Damian Rickett, who picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Woodcreek over Antelope in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Woodcreek blew Antelope out of the water with a 44-3 final score. The result was nothing new for Woodcreek, who have now won six matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Bella Vista's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.67 points per game. Woodcreek has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight matchups, giving them a 7-1 record.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Bella Vista has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 168.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Woodcreek struggles in that department as they've been even better at 260.5 per game. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Bella Vista was taken down by Woodcreek 58-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Bella Vista have more luck at home instead of on the road?
