South Iredell will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Lake Norman at 6:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
South Iredell had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against West Iredell last Thursday as they made off with a 36-12 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point South Iredell had established a 28-6 advantage.
Meanwhile, Lake Norman had to kick off their season on the road last week, but they showed no ill effects. They took their match against Statesville 14-6. The score was all tied up at the break, but Lake Norman was the better team in the second half.
Their wins bumped South Iredell to 1-0 and Lake Norman to 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Watch the game and check back in with MaxPreps for details.
