Harford Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 53-39 bruising from Providence Christian Academy. Harford Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Providence Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Bryce Unruh was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight steals and five rebounds for Providence Christian Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Unruh has scored at least a third of Providence Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Sam Keller, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Harford Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Providence Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Harford Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arlington Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Providence Christian Academy on the road again on Friday and play against Towle Institute at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th.
