Herculaneum won the last time they faced Crystal City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Herculaneum Black Cats secured a 45-41 W over the Crystal City Hornets.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Bova, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bova a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Roussin, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Herculaneum's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-17. As for Crystal City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Coming up, Herculaneum will venture away from home to square off against Webster Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crystal City, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
