The Burroughs Bears will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Burroughs beat Hoover 63-54. The victory was just what Burroughs needed coming off of a 74-54 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Chase Kardosh, who scored 20 points. The match was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Topp, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Sierra Canyon is ranked highly in their home state, and last Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Coronado. Sierra Canyon breezed by Coronado on the road to the tune of 83-55. Winning may never get old, but Sierra Canyon sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Sierra Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
