The Trabuco Hills Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trabuco Hills has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with six straight defeats, while San Juan Hills will come in with five straight wins.
On Monday, Trabuco Hills ended up a good deal behind Tesoro and lost 50-36. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Titans are ranked 172nd).

Trabuco Hills' loss came about despite a quality game from Gage Lamboo, who posted eight points. What's more, Lamboo also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Devon Williams, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Juan Hills). They blew past Los Amigos, posting a 100-67 victory. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.
San Juan Hills had a senior duo take command as Adam Aziz almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine assists and Mason Hodges almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. The contest was Hodges' 15th in a row with at least ten points. Rocco Jensen was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 14 points.
San Juan Hills was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
San Juan Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Trabuco Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Trabuco Hills has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 20.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like San Juan Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
