After both having extra time off, the San Jacinto Tigers and the West Valley Mustangs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
San Jacinto came up short against Temescal Canyon last Friday, falling 3-0.
While San Jacinto was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, San Jacinto had strong showings from Jo Jo Camargo, who had 14 digs, and Skylar Murphy, who had nine kills, four digs, and four blocks. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, West Valley beat Tahquitz 3-1 last Friday.
West Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-18.
West Valley's win came from a few key players San Jacinto will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lima Jr. Amisone, who had seven digs, five aces, and one block. Those five aces gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlvin Valdez, who had five digs and three aces.
West Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for San Jacinto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
