Volleyball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Falls Despite Big Games from Finley Dakin and Grace Hargis

Tri-West Hendricks and Roncalli squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Tri-West Hendricks had to settle for second. They came up short against the Royals, falling 3-0. The Bruins have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Tri-West Hendricks' loss came despite strong showings from Grace Hargis and Finley Dakin. Hargis had 21 assists and eight digs, while Dakin had 13 digs and one assist. Hargis is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Reagan Turk had an outrageously good game for Roncalli as she had 16 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Turk has posted since back in October.

Tri-West Hendricks' defeat dropped their record down to 24-13. As for Roncalli, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-5 record this season.

Tri-West Hendricks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roncalli, after both having extra time off, they and Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
