Softball Recap: Thornton Academy Has No Trouble Against Deering

Thornton Academy won the last time they faced Deering and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 18-7 margin over the Rams. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.

Emma Barnes was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Sophia Bogardus was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Thornton Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Thornton Academy's record now sits at 4-6. As for Deering, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
