After flying high against Riverton Parke last Friday, Parke Heritage came back down to earth. The Parke Heritage Wolves took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mooresville Pioneers. Despite the loss, Parke Heritage still got an impressive performance from Isaac Pickel, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Pickel is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Carter Crum was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Parke Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mooresville only pulled down two offensive boards.
Mooresville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Thompson-Moore out in front who went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points. The dominant performance gave Thompson-Moore a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Aj Defur, who went 5 for 12 en route to 16 points.
Parke Heritage's record now sits at 14-4. As for Mooresville, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Parke Heritage will challenge Attica at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mooresville has already played their next contest (against Westfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
