The Southside Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 37-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilmington Christian Academy.
When it comes to explaining why Southside Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alina Sharp. Despite the final result, she scored five points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
It was another big night for Katelyn McCurry, who scored 13 points for Wilmington Christian Academy.
Southside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside Christian and Greenville Christian Academy will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Living Water Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Living Water Christian's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Wilmington Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
