It's playoff time, and Handley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Anniston Bulldogs with a sharp 14-3 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Tennley Benefield made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Benefield was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rayna Smith, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted over her last nine games. Olivia Cobb was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Handley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Handley's win bumped their record up to 16-20-1. As for Anniston, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Handley nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
