The Kiefer Trojans were the 40-39 winner over the Bristow Pirates when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Kiefer took a serious blow against the Pirates on Friday, falling 59-25. While losing is never fun, Kiefer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Pirates are ranked 96th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bristow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shalyn Edmondson, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Edmondson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Alexander, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Kiefer has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Bristow, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Kiefer will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bristow, they will head out on the road to square off against the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
