While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, the Santa Fe Christian Eagles were not quite the La Jolla Country Day Torreys's equal in the second half on Wednesday. Their tough 6-1 loss to the Torreys might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Santa Fe Christian of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Santa Fe Christian dropped their record down to 4-9-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for La Jolla Country Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-1-4 record this season.
Santa Fe Christian will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Pacific Ridge at 3:15 p.m. La Jolla Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
