Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arlington Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chezi Essel, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Essel hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Davon Aikens was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Arlington Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Cumberland Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Arlington Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Fulton Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fulton Leadership Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Cumberland Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Atlanta Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
