Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Southmont finally turned things around against North Putnam on Monday. Southmont blew past North Putnam 16-6.
Southmont got a massive performance out of Mallory Mason, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Grino, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and a triple.
Lebanon never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lafayette Central Catholic last Friday. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with a 12-2 win.
Krryn Miller made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Miller has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Miller was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Hannah Wilborn was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Miley Wilhoite was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
