Two weeks ago, Edmund Burke Academy suffered a rough 44-22 defeat at the hands of Briarwood Academy.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Piedmont Academy walked away with it. They blew past Trinity Christian 38-0 at home. The win was just what Piedmont Academy needed coming off of a 55-0 loss in their prior match.
Mason Tumlin went supernova for Piedmont Academy, rushing for 194 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Cleveland, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Briarwood Academy's win bumped their season record to 7-3 while Edmund Burke Academy's loss dropped theirs to 9-1.
