Deer Valley is  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cactus, their  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-7.
 Deer Valley has already played their next game,  a  5-4  defeat against Flagstaff on the 14th. As for Cactus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  12-2  loss against Ironwood on the 11th.
