Despite the defeat, Rio Rancho saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Lovato went 9-for-14 on his way to 24 points and five boards. The game was Lovato's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Archuleta, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 14 points.
