The Labette County Grizzlies were the 62-46 winner over the Mulvane Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Labette County falling 54-39. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Labette County still got an impressive performance from Hudson Baker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Baker scored a full 48.7% of Labette County's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Johnson, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Labette County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mulvane, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Labette County will head out on the road to face off against Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mulvane, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence on Thursday.
