The Cedar Reds will head out on the road to take on the American Fork Cavemen at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cedar has four straight wins, American Fork has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cedar barely beat Canyon View the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Reds never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Reds, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sadie Parson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hayley Ennis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Kate Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Cedar was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, American Fork came up short against Westlake on Thursday, falling 19-3.
American Fork saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Jensen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Kennedy McKinney, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.
American Fork's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Cedar, their record is now 20-5.
American Fork's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedar has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. It's a different story for American Fork, though, as they've been averaging 10.8 hits. Given Cedar's sizable advantage in that area, the Cavemen will need to find a way to close that gap.
